MIPAC finalist in the 2009 Australian Mining Prospect Awards

Brisbane, Australia, September, 25, 2009 – MIPAC, global experts in process control, have been announced as finalists in the 6th Annual Australian Mining Prospect awards. The awards acknowledge innovation, initiative, hard work and superior performance in a range of mining categories. MIPAC was honoured to achieve three finalist nominations in two categories.

Recent MIPAC Process Advantage™ work at Xstrata Zinc has been nominated in both the innovative mining solutions category and the mineral processing plant of the year category. MIPAC’s CellView® has also been nominated in the innovative mining solutions category.

Xstrata Zinc, (MIPAC Process Advantage™ project): Advanced control strategies delivered to Xstrata Zinc improved operations by stabilising production allowing the plant to operate closer to process constraints, increasing feed-rate and concentrate production.
